Without this book, you may have found this out already, but with it, you will be guided so thoroughly, you can't help to eliminate these negative intentions and replace them with positive thoughts that WILL change your life!
Finally, we have the hidden message, to reprogram our thoughts, we are asked to become "selfish", yes it's true.
Demand what we want, totally eliminate any thought on what we don't want, it will then fall away from us. In the end it isn't selfish means after all.
We each have a good life, and the world becomes better, so in the long run, was that really selfish? Our free will means freeing up our willingness.
Be willing to be selfish, be free with it, intent your demand for happiness and joy, see it, feel it, breathe it, then you receive it.
And then get on here and tell us how it worked for you, and be a guide for others to follow these truths.
Being selfish will be redefined, it isn't negative after all. Oh and remember, if your a magnet and I'm a magnet, then we are also attracting to each other.
So if your day becomes great and your happy, your feeding the energy field of your neighbor with happy energies too.
Nope, that sure isn't being selfish after all, by ways we once defined selfishness. View all 4 comments. Mar 10, pegah rated it it was amazing Shelves: owned , read-twice.
A little bit more complicated than other Abraham-Hicks works but still amazing and need to be read time to time. Jan 09, Alex Wilson rated it it was amazing.
If you liked the movie The Secret, this book will take you deeper into understanding how to really make this powerful law work in your own life.
I recommend this book frequently to clients and use it in my coaching and speaking work to emphasize how each of us really do create our reality.
Now that I know how the Law works, I have become able to stay much more positive and trusting. It amazes me how things fall into place as they never have before.
The principles within the book are ageless and If you liked the movie The Secret, this book will take you deeper into understanding how to really make this powerful law work in your own life.
The principles within the book are ageless and timeless. We benefit from the refresher course nonetheless. Oct 08, Nader Alfie rated it liked it. Read this on a recommendation.
While I did not buy it wholesale and some parts struck me as weird , I took two helpful points from a quick read: 1.
You are going to attract the good and bad things you think about most. It is better to think positively in terms of what you want rather than negatively in terms of what you don't want.
The result of this format is a very repetitive and loosely organized "interview. However, despite the weak structure, the information itself is very helpful.
Key passages are italicized and the repetition of explanations does serve to clearly drive home the main ideas. You come away from the book with a very clear understanding of the laws and techniques, despite how difficult it is to read.
Side note: Unless you are very open to spiritual or metaphysical concepts, it's best to ignore the nature in which the book was written, and just take from the reading what will help you to live a happier, more effortless life.
I ran out of time to finish this book, but I did get about halfway through before it became overdue.
I completely believe in the power of thought and attitude to alter our perception of reality. Under certain conditions, I somewhat believe in their assertion that thought can actually alter reality.
I have a very hard time believing their assertion that absolutely everything in your life was drawn I ran out of time to finish this book, but I did get about halfway through before it became overdue.
Like attracts like, yes, but I take issue with the implication that everything that happens in our lives is our fault. I mean, really, the jerk who runs the red light at 50 mph and slams into the minivan totally has brought an accident into his life, but the three-year-old in the car-seat can't possibly have "attracted" the crash!
It's too blame-the-victim for me. Despite some fantastic quotes I was moved to copy and show other people, the more time passes, the more the memory of this book irritates me.
Thought without corresponding action, in other words. So in the end, I'm revising my rating and recommending skipping this book in favor of others written by deeper thinkers.
My original review: I'm only about a quarter of the way through this book so far, and it's just now starting to get to the good stuff.
The whole beginning is This premise rings very true for me in most respects, so I'm glad I stuck it out through the channeling-the-spirits phase of the book.
But I read another version of this a while back Well, the main thing is that the other book had less crazy stuff but also less detail, so it's probably helpful to read both.

What is the cost? Only your critical thinking skills. You must completely surrender yourself to your emotional guidance and let it show you the secrets of the universe.
Esther Hicks channels this book or as she would say, "receives" from a nonphysical perspective from the group of entities collectively known as Abraham.
They know what you want, everything that you desire, and they will tell you everything that will ma Love, validation, the secret of eternal life will all be found in this book.
They know what you want, everything that you desire, and they will tell you everything that will make you feel more at ease about this world around you.
I highly recommend this book as the beginning of a serious delusion about the nature of reality, as you exchange actual reality with the one presented by Abraham.
The upside? The belief that you are the creator of your reality. The downside? Immense guilt and self-blame for everything that is going wrong.
Will this be the answer to all your questions? I've known plenty of Abers an affectionate term used among people applying the principles of Abraham and they have just as many problems as everyone else.
The only difference is Abers are more guarded and defensive about their altered perception of the universe than most.
Though, you will see similar delusions in other fundamental religions. If you continue on this path, be prepared to listen to many more CDs and youtube videos.
They will help you in slowly letting go of that silly critical thinking and focusing on reality and you will open up to a new, better emotional thinking.

The seeking movement of the ego wanting, dukkha, desire is the root of suffering in several spiritual traditions.
Here it's celebrated as the source by which we can manifest desired things. I couldn't handle the disappointment of doing the visualizations with zero payoff.
I was just feeding the mind monster, being lost in thought instead of being present. I listened to several of these CD's before I gave up. Channeled works tends to be bologna, but I must admit this was entertaining.

The most powerful part of this for me was "segment intention. The "channeled" element of this book is interesting. All is good! Jan 09, Roma rated it really liked it. I don't know why the authors of this book bothered to tell us the material was channeled from non-physical entities, other than, I presume, to claim authority beyond their own selves or just to tell the truth as they see it, perhaps.
I'm not a believer in channeling and that's why I was reluctant to buy and read it, but I persevered, and I have to say that the material stands on its own.
If the authors had just written the book as a work of fiction which it may well be, in reality , it would I don't know why the authors of this book bothered to tell us the material was channeled from non-physical entities, other than, I presume, to claim authority beyond their own selves or just to tell the truth as they see it, perhaps.
If the authors had just written the book as a work of fiction which it may well be, in reality , it would be just as good.
Read with an open mind, the material just rings true. Surely we've all noticed that complainers tend to hang together, optimistic people tend to hang together, gamblers, jocks, etc.
That's all a result of the fact that they have common interests and viewpoints and the truth is that if you want to jump levels from one plane to another whether it be financial, social, spiritual, or whatever, you won't find access through your current circle of people who are all living inside a similar agreement reality as the one you are in yourself.
You need to break out and be assimilated into groups of others who can help grease the wheels, steer you in new ways and who will support you in your most wanted endeavors.
How to do that is what this book is all about. I have been using the advice in the book for several weeks now and I am shocked at how my life is changing.
Instead of taking two steps forwards and three back and sometimes the other way around, I find that I move forwards all the time, and other people support me in my endeavors, now that I'm speaking my future into existence as suggested in this book.
So if you're a skeptic and you don't believe in the channeling, like I am, read it anyway and try it out.
It's well worth the effort whether it came from a group of non-physicial entities or a couple of people who just wrote a book. Read it, follow it and win.
Aug 23, Hermetic Kitten rated it really liked it. A very interesting perspective on how the Universe works and how our thoughts manifest in our reality.
Most people think the Law of Attraction has everything to do with the paranormal world, but I think it is quite a simple, tangible rule of life: if you want to be negative and you choose to face life in a pessimistic way, you are going to attract events, people and experiences that match your frequency.
Life is full of events we dislike, sometimes horrendous and hard to deal with. Despite that, A very interesting perspective on how the Universe works and how our thoughts manifest in our reality.
Despite that, it is up to us to find a way to react to such events in the most effective and useful way. The Law of Attraction has been interpreted in a very childish "good and evil" way: if you think about something positive, you must attract more positive things into your life.
But it's not that simple. Life is complex, sometimes hard, chaotic and unmanageable. And humans must and will experience chaos, peace, anger, relaxation, sadness, joy no matter how hard they focus on one side or the other.
We cannot have good without evil just like we cannot have a day without night. But even though we cannot manipulate or control our reality, we can certainly control how we react to it.
We can change our perception and suddenly become the best version of ourselves. Jan 15, Anya rated it it was amazing. Ok, I'm into this sort of thing, of believing that there's a all knowing collective consciousness.
Ester Hicks seems to be able to tap into this through an entity she calls Abraham. She is a conduit or channel into this knowledge. Kind-a scary at first, then comforting and inspirational thoroughout, Jerry asks great questions of this all knowing entity, it has fantastic answers that are guiding principals for how we should live our lives.
Makes you really watch what you're thinking about. Proves o Ok, I'm into this sort of thing, of believing that there's a all knowing collective consciousness.
Proves over and over again that our thoughts shape our experience. Thank you for sharing your work! Jun 13, Melina rated it did not like it.
Wasn't sure how to rate this book Personally I wasn't a fan. While I do believe from my own experience of it that we do attract based on our vibrations to some extent- not necessarily exactly the specific thing we've been dreaming about , I did not appreciate this presentation of the LoA.
There are a tonne of run-on sentences and strange ways of explaining things that made this easy enough concept a bit of a drag to read.
Here's an example from pg. There was also something implicit in the dialogue that made me feel as though this material serves just to bolster the western capitalistic mentality of focusing solely on our own needs and accumulating as much stuff as we want.
Felt a bit spiritually dead Feb 12, Annette Summerfield added it. I'm reading this book right now. It was given to me by someone who enjoyed it.
I do find it a bit creepy. I've read in many health magazines that positive thoughts make us feel better.
Do I think the people I've cared for in Homes wouldn't of had a stroke, or a heart attack or MS and so on if they had though positive I know some of those people are very positive and up people with good careers, good family and so on I h I'm reading this book right now.
I have health problems. I have since I was very young, since I was born Sure positive thinking can help me handle my health problems, but it won't help me all better and healthy.
There are good points The trances and all that I just find it creepy and ick. Aug 05, Maria Riegger rated it really liked it. I'm a spiritual person and try to be open-minded; and I'm not sure that I buy into the idea that this spirit Abraham actually speaks to the author Esther Hicks.
That being said, you can still get a lot out of this book even if you have doubts about the author's ability in that regard.
The main premise of the book is that you will attract what you give your time and attention to. I have found this to be largely true over the course of my life, and there is certainly merit in following the author's I'm a spiritual person and try to be open-minded; and I'm not sure that I buy into the idea that this spirit Abraham actually speaks to the author Esther Hicks.
I have found this to be largely true over the course of my life, and there is certainly merit in following the author's recommendations about how to attract more of what you want into your life and less of what you don't.
One of the best things that I read in this book is this I'm paraphrasing here : The best gift that you can give other people is your expectation of their success.
This works better than focusing on what they lack. Instead focus on what you want to achieve. I therefore highly recommend this book.
I've read this book a few times and it is undeniably useful. I know it will help anyone who reads it just by itself, but if people follow-up by reading complimentary books on the subject to go along with it, that will be even better.

It made a few good points, but in general the idea that everyone has complete free will, and all misfortune is self-induced is a very dangerous one.
This kind of thinking contributes to scary modes of thought including rational self-interest and individualism, ideologies that actively deny the existence of social structures and cultural contexts.
This justification of existing systems of inequality can only contribute to more human suffering. Downloaded the audio book because Jess from The Lively Show recommended it.
